It's Playtime: Edible Stars

Stars.  Edible stars.  Yummy, edible stars.  Just in time for summer and American Independence Day.  Check it out on this weeks It's Playtime!

Along the lines of Glitter Grapes, check out these tasty Flavored Watermelon Stars from JDaniel4's Mom.

Come Together Kids shared this guest post from JDaniel4's Mom for Red, white, and Blue Frozen Smoothie Stars.

I know, 4th of July Pudding Pop's are not stars, but I'm pregnant, and they look yummy, so check them out from We-Made-That.com.

It's Playtime: Oceans of Fun

It's summer time in California which means swimming, the beach (although we often go to the beach in February), and lot's of water play.  In honor of that, this week on It's Playtime, I'm focusing on the ocean and the fun you can have even if you don't have the deep blue nearby.

Check out this fantastic and simple recipe for Sand Playdough from Timeless Adventures.  Great for a day at the beach without the sand in your pants!

Make your own stamps for this Sea Life Stamped Art from Make and Takes and B-inspired Mama.

Although this was a Father's Day Fish, what kid wouldn't enjoy a cute fish shaped sandwich complete with fruit sun and baby fishies?  Shared by JDaniel4's Mom.

You don't need to take a trip to the ocean to swim with fishes.  Be like Familylicious and create your own Ocean Swimming Pool in the back yard!

It's Playtime: My Favorites

I can't believe how many bloggers, teachers, and mom's share with us each week!  Over 150 posts and growing.  Thank you It's Playtime participants!  So this week I've simply chosen my 3 favorite posts from last week (which I bowed out of due to an overwhelming number of activities that came up in and around my family) to share with all of you.  I hope you find them inspiring.

You have to check out these Alien Bubbles from Familylicious!  They are awesomely simple and a fantastic outdoor science idea.

Inspire Imagination Through Creation shared their funtastic Glove Painting.

Does your little one like music and/or banging on things?  Then recycle your old tin cans and create a Tin Can Music Station like the one over at Growing a Jeweled Rose!
